BMW 335 vs Infiniti G37 test drive
the ultimate coupe comparison: 2007 BMW 335i vs 2008 Infiniti G37 S. BMW’s 3.0-liter six rates at 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, where Nissan’s new 3.7-liter v6 is rated at 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Which take those cars from 0-60mph in 4.8 & 5.4 seconds respectively. In this battle of $40k coupes, Infiniti has more technology on-board, but the new turbo Beema holds on to its crown with more responsiveness and larger rear seats.

when do peoples wakeup and realized the cost of the car is not important fact but the maintenance cost is the key, what’s so good and special about BMW that is service more than you can drive or per half you on your special trip with family enjoining the day, suddenly your car decided to give you up in the middle of nowhere and now you need a tow truck hello wakeup people reliability. And one last thing just admit that BMW quality is slipping every single second

The Beemer overheats and is over-rated. You pay 8k for the name and in the slalom and 60-120 it’s the infiniti over the 335 statistically. The G37 meanwhile has valet service which means if you need an oil change, they come to your work, leave you another G37 and return your car when service is done either back at your work or at your home - you never have to go in for service. All BMW does is give you a loaner once you’ve schlepped it into the dealer. Boo. With the G37 killing the 3 series and the R8 killing the M5/6, BMWs day is over. Bimmer people know it…just look at their faces when you are stopped at a light next to one. Unless you’re Asian and can fit into a 1 series and have a 25k budget, it’s hello G -goodbye 3.

In my world there is only BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Saab and Audi. All having high quality. All others are wannabees. Talk about safety? They are all getting 5 stars in EURO crash test. The US crash test is a joke, the americans are 20 years behind in safety and driving dynamics.

Uupss, I forgot Lexus, they are up there too, sorry. And perhaps even on top of the stack.
Jorn Madsen - March 26th, 2008 at 6:44 pm
To Jorn, yes BMW, MB, Volvo, Saab make fine cars, but their quality is no where near that of Japan. Everyone knows this. Japanese cars have taken serious market share away from BMW and MB based on price and the superior quality. What is surprising, is that JP Powers and CR both site that American Cars have surpassed German cars in initial quality and long term quality in recent years. This is something Germany should pay attention too.
The item this review fails to mention that the infinity is standard with leather and other options while the BMW leather and (just about everything else) is an option. The cost of the BMW is striking when you add leather, heated seats, etc…
If snob factor is what you are looking for then BMW will win on every count. If quality and decent performance for everyday driving, then the G37 is tough to beat.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
